Maureen Schomaker, M.Ed.
President & CEO

Maureen Schomaker, M.Ed., is the President and CEO of Bridgepoint Strategies LLC, where she partners with organizations to strengthen talent pipelines, improve workplace culture, and advance retention strategies—particularly within construction and civil engineering industries. She brings more than 25 years of experience in higher education, including a distinguished career at the University of Cincinnati, where she now serves as Professor Emerita.

Throughout her career, Maureen has worked at the intersection of education and industry, helping to connect students, employers, and institutions through innovative approaches to cooperative education and work-integrated learning. She has supported hundreds of students entering the workforce and built lasting partnerships with leading organizations across engineering, construction, and technical fields.

Maureen’s work has extended well beyond the United States. She has presented internationally on cooperative education and workforce development, including engagements in:

Blueprint for Respect & Culture
Maureen is the driving force behind the Blueprint for Respect & Culture initiative, a collaborative effort focused on addressing the recruitment and retention challenges facing women in construction and civil engineering. This work brings together industry leaders, educators, and stakeholders to move beyond awareness and toward measurable, actionable change.
